Rohit Dhawan's Dishoom is doing well on weekdays. After a good weekend of 37.32 crore, the film has collected 4.85 crore on Monday and 4.30 crore* on Tuesday, hence resulting in the total of 46.5 crore* so far. With this, the film has gone past the lifetime total of Rohit's debut directorial affair Desi Boyz [46 crore] in 5 days flat. Of course, the quantum of business has increased over a period of time but then the fact also remains that the Akshay Kumar and John Abraham starrer was a much bigger film. Moreover, that too had Eros association to it and the corporate house can well be happy to have backed him up again.

Another man who would be happy with the association is producer Sajid Nadiadwala. Over the decades, he has had a healthy personal and professional relationship with David Dhawan [Judwaa, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi]. Now with his sons Varun Dhawan and Rohit Dhawan, he has only continued this relationship and started off with a clean success. The film is holding itself well and since there is no biggie on the cards till 12th August [when Rustom and Mohenjo Daro arrive], there are further numbers waiting to be added.

The John Abraham-Varun Dhawan-Jacqueline Fernandez film is now set to cross 50 crore mark today itself. Since the film didn't really have an optimal Friday and Saturday due to rains, it is expected that the hold over the second weekend would be decent for Dishoom.

All eyes are now on the kind of distance that Dishoom manages to cover eventually. That would be a good sign for the film turning out to be a franchise, the rumors of which have already started circulating.

*Final numbers awaited

Note: All numbers as per production and distribution sources
