The South Indian Cine & TV Directors' and Stunt Masters' Union has given a tearful farewell to Dasari Narayana Rao.

In an official statement issued today, the association said, "After having entered the industry, Dasari Narayana Rao had proved himself to be a good and kind administrator, and wielded power in top levels in almost all walks of life in the industry."

It further said, "Being an embodiment of tender heart, he was fondly called 'peace dove'. Even in politics, he attained such heights and rendered his noble service as union minister. His sudden demise has caused a great vacuum, and is an irreplaceable loss to the film fraternity. We pay our respectful homage and condolence to the departed soul. May his soul rest in peace in heaven."
