Late director Jandhyala's wife Annapurnamma is reportedly angry with Brahmanandam for sharing a particular anecdote recently on a TV show.

In the said show, Brahmi happened to recall how the Haasya Brahma used to drink so much and regularly. This disturbed the late director's wife, who reportedly called up the top comedian to tell him why it was inappropriate.

If Brahmi exaggerated about Jandhyala's alcoholism, projecting it as if he was addicted to it, it was surely wrong on his part to do that. But if Brahmi gave the correct picture, it's hardly objectionable. Just because he was a great director and Telugu film industry's pride, it doesn't mean that he should be talked about only in glowing terms. As a colleague and a disciple of Jandhyala, Brahmi shared about human Jandhyala the way he saw him.
