Vetrimaaran is regarded as the greatest Tamil director of the current era. He is currently working on 'Viduthalai Part 2' starring Soori and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead roles. Now, the latest hot news is that Vetrimaaran will be using advanced VFX technology in this film after Kamal's 'Indian 2' and Vijay's 'Thalapathy 68'.
The usage of CG or VFX has always been very limited in Vetrimaaran's works. Now, it is being reported that the creator is going to use the de-ageing technology for Vijay Sethupathi and Manju Warrier's younger version in 'Viduthalai Part 2'. They both will be playing husband and wife in this movie and their character is set around the 1960s.
Notably, director Shankar incorporated this de-ageing technology for Kamal Haasan's role in 'Indian 2' and Venkat Prabhu used the same for Thalapathy Vijay's dual role in the upcoming film 'Thalapathy 68'. Still, there is a handful amount of shooting pending for Viduthalai 2 and it is aiming for a Summer 2024 theatrical release.
