Vetrimaaran to work with this legendary cinematographer for the first time! – Deets inside

Vetrimaaran is currently one of the most-wanted directors in the country. He is currently directing Soori and Vijay Sethupathi in ‘Viduthalai’ and will start working on the Suriya starrer ‘Vaadivasal’ after that. Also, the filmmaker is also donning the writer’s hat in some films and web series.

Now, the latest is that the legendary cinematographer PC Sreeram announced on his social media that he teamed up with Vetrimaaran for a new ZEE5 web series. The veteran added that Vetri will serve as the show’s writer and showrunner. His tweet read, “My next project will be with Director #VetriMaaran. It will be for a web serial written and show run by him for #Zee5. Major cast & other details will be announced soon.”

Vetrimaaran and PC Sreeram are collaborating for the first time in this web series. It is worth mentioning that the National Award-winning director joined forces with ZEE5 earlier for a show titled ‘Nilamellam Ratham’. Vetrimaaran was reportedly going to serve as its producer and showrunner.

Actor Ameer was roped in to play the lead role while Ramesh Balakrishnan of Adhu fame was onboarded to helm the web series. However, the current status of Nilamellam Ratham remains unknown. On the other hand, Vetrimaaran is also penning the script for the movie ‘Adhigaaram’, to be directed by Durai Senthilkumar and starring Raghava Lawrence.
