Director Vetrimaaran's new multistarrer with Soori goes on the floors! - Deets inside

The leading comedian Soori debuted as a lead actor in 'Viduthalai Part 1' under Vetrimaaran's direction. The two are currently busy with the shooting of 'Viduthalai 2'. Meanwhile, the hot news is that Soori and Vetrimaaran are joining again for a multistarrer film. Yes, Soori plays the lead in a new movie with a story by director Vetrimaaran.
The new project went on the floors today in Kumbakonam. Director Durai Senthilkumar will be helming this project titled 'Karudan,' which stars Soori alongside Sasikumar and Malayalam actor Unni Mukundan of 'Mallikapuram' fame. The little maestro Yuvan Shankar Raja will score music for this movie. The Puja ceremony took place in a temple today and the pictures are now going viral.
As per sources, Karudan is said to be a terrific action film. The makers are planning to launch a stunning promo video soon. The movie is jointly produced by Lark Studios and Vetrimaaran's Grassroot Film Company. The filming commenced today followed by the muhurat puja.
The star cast also includes Sshivada, Samuthirakani, Brigida Saga, Revathy Sharma, Mime Gopi, Mottai Rajendran and others in key roles. On the technical side, Arthur Wilson A is the cinematographer, Pradeep E Ragav is the editor, G Durairaj is the art director and Mahesh Mathew is the stunt director.
