Noted Filmmaker wins National Award

Tamil cinema won six National Awards for the year 2016 and one for the Best critic ALSO READ: Full Details of National Awards for Tamil Cinema. The awards were presented by the Honourable Indian President Pranab Mukharjee in a grand ceremony held in New Delhi on Wednesday (May 3, 2017).

Another prominent celebrity from Tamil film industry won a National Award and added more glory to the Tamil Nadu state and its people. He is none other that veteran director Vasanth Sai.

Vasanth Sai received the Rajat Kamal Award for the Best Film on Social Issues for his film 'Sanath', under the non-feature film section.
