Director Thamira who tested positive for the coronavirus was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai but unfortunately lost the battle this morning and passed away. Several celebrities belonging to the Tamil film industry are mourning the loss including Shankar, Ramya Pandian and Naveen.
Thamira made his directorial debut with 'Rettaisuzhi' produced by Shankar and starring K. Balachander and Bharathiraja along with Aari and Anjali. He later made the family drama 'Aan Devathai' starring Samuthirakani and Ramya Pandian. He had finished the script of his next and was in the process of filming his third when the end came unexpectedly.
Thamira's final Facebook post is so emotional and philosophical that it makes one wonder if he foresaw his death. it is written in Tamil and roughly translates to "There is no secret to win this world over except love. All the accumulated anger in me I discard instantly today. From now on there will be no enmity from me towards anyone. All are my loved ones".
Thamira's final work is the web series 'My Perfect Husband' starring Sathyaraj and Seetha is complete and will stream on Disney Plus Hotstar soon.
