Director Suseenthiran`s period flick Maveeran Kittu` set in 1980s is also his third film with Vishnu Vishal and second with his Jeeva` hit pair Vishnu Vishal-Sridivya. Ahead of the worldwide release, the maverick director shares many interesting details about the film in this exclusive interview to IndiaGlitz.

Names are not just for Namesake

Vishnu plays the central character Kittu engire Krishna Kumar. Parthiban is Chinrasu, Sridivya is Gomathi and Soori is Thangarasu. After Paandiyanadu` Harish Uthaman has acted in the film of mine. He is a sub inspector named Selvaraj. All these characters are so powerful that even there names will be registered in the minds of audience.

Storyline

The inspiration for the story is a small incident that happened in the 1980s. I have penned the story with that incident as an inspiration.. It will have the life of a Communist leader in Tanjore. It will have many such lives. It is not a story of one person`s life .

What to expect from the lead pair?

Vishnu Vishal you saw in Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu` was not the same in Jeeva`. The same actor will be entirely different in each of my films. Because I work on characters with minute details. So Vishnu as well as Sridivya will be different in this film. Sridivya in this film will be a performer like Revathy in her initial years.

There is no second option

I had committed Partiban sir three years ago when I was clueless about who will play the lead character. In the entire South India we cannot find another actor with his skin tone, age and experience. His age, skin tone and maturity as an actor fits like T for this story. He comes as a revolutionary leader in the film. He will definitely win huge laurels for his performance in this film

Something entirely different

Since I have travelled with him for long, I know Soori can excell in emotional characters also. In this film he has played a printing press owner. He has acted in such a way that he will be acknowledged as a good performer.

Surprise factor

TV Anchor Gopinath`s brother Prabhu has acted in the film. He has been working as Assitant Cameraman when I was working as an Assitant Director. Our friendship lasts for over 15 years. His father acted in Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu`.

Everyone comes to cinema hall expecting something interesting for around two hours. That expectation will be fulfilled by this film.
