Gautham Menon is in the throes of a controversy.  Karthick Naren, the young and acclaimed Kollywood filmmaker, says that he decided to direct 'Naragasooran' in Menon's production, only to be left in the lurch later.  Menon simply didn't put in the investment needed, he alleges.  

In an interview, Karthick bemoans that he signed up to do the film with Menon in spite of being warned against it.  

Menon did take money from financiers, only to divert the funds to his films with Vikram and Dhanush, alleges the youngster.  Karthick Naren is now down. He is literally broke.  He has no money left as he has funded 'Naragasooran' by himself.  

"While everybody advised against it, I had the pair to trust you and collaborate, Sir. In return, we were treated like trash and made to invest on our own. I think it's better to whine and confront instead of running away.  Please don't do this to any other young filmmaker sir. It hurts!" Karthick Naren publicly told Gautham Menon on Twitter.  

Arvind Swami hasn't dubbed for the thriller as his remuneration is due.  Shriya Saran and Sundeep Kishan are part of the cast.
