SS Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ team issues an official statement regarding the film’s chances for the Oscars!

'RRR' is the recent cinematic mastery from the renowned maker SS Rajamouli after the history-redefining success of the 'Baahubali' saga. Starring Ram Charan and Jr NTR, RRR became the third highest-grossing Indian film with a closing collection of more than Rs 1110 crores worldwide.

RRR attracted many foreign people, especially westerners and introduced south Indian cinema to them. The film continued to dominate during the post-theatrical OTT release as well. RRR managed to be among the top 10 global films on Netflix till the 19th week. The entire film fraternity and fans expected that RRR would be the Indian government's official entry to the Oscars this year.

But the Gujarati film 'Chello Show' was officially selected by India for the Academy Awards. Now, the hot news is that the 'RRR' makers have decided to apply for the Oscars in the General category. According to sources, they have applied for the Oscars consideration under 15 categories. The team released an official statement regarding the same on social media. The press release read:
