Official! SS Rajamouli’s RRR is now a step closer to winning the Oscar Award

Director SS Rajamouli's 'RRR' already scripted history with its global success. Finally, the highly-rated blockbuster is going to clinch the final missing jewel in its crown. Yes, RRR is now a step closer to winning the prestigious Oscar Awards after being nominated for Golden Globe Awards and London Critics' Circle Awards.

RRR has made Indian cinema proud by getting shortlisted for the 94th Academy Awards. The sensational number, 'Naattu Naattu', from RRR becomes the first Indian song to get shortlisted for the Oscars. The official social media pages of RRR officially broke the news to the fans this morning, which is going viral now.

The voting for nominations will take place during January 12-17, and the final nominees will be announced on January 24. The 94th Academy Awards are slated to be held on 12 March 2023 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. Naattu Naattu will be competing with 15 songs including Nothing is Lost from Avatar: The Way of Water, Hold My Hand from Top Gun: Maverick, and Lift Me Up from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
