With sections of media saying that 'Sammohanam' is an unofficial remake of a Hollywood movie, director Mohankrishna Indraganti has put the record straight.  

Mincing no words, the director said, "Some people and sections of the media are speculating if ‘Sammohanam’ is a ‘freemake’ of ‘Notting Hill’. As a filmmaker who has never failed to credit inspirations and sources, I find the assumption insulting and arrogant."

He further noted, "The idea of a common person falling in love with a film star was not invented by 'Notting Hill'. While 'N. Hill' is surely an aesthetic influence along with many other films (which I will surely acknowledge in the credits) you will see how original Sammohanam is when it comes out!!!"

Starring Sudheer Babu as an upper-middle guy who falls in love with actress Sameera (played by Aditi Rao Hydari), the rom-com will hit the screens on June 15.
