As 'Jayammu Nischayammu Raa' gears up for a confident Nov 25 release, its debutante director Shiva Raj Kanumuri here talks about his vision for the movie, the inspirations and more. Read on:

"Generally, when we make movies, we tend to offer entertainment. Apart from entertainment, I always wanted my movie to be felt as a memorable experience by the audience. 'JNR' is developed with the basic idea that it should be set up in a realistic world and its characters rooted in in the ordinary world of our lives.

'JNR' is about an introvert low on confidence and his journey through the new opportunities as well as ordeals of his life. Personality development is a subject that has always invited my attention and I wanted my protagonist's life to represent this subject-matter in the most entertaining manner. And when it comes to subplots, I divided them in such a way that the forces are either for or against him. The locations were finalized after traveling across the countryside of Karimnagar and Kakinada.

In presenting 'Desivali Vinodam', I am inspired by Rachakonda Viswanatha Sastry garu's 'Alpa Jeevi', Robert Hamer's 'School For Scoundrels', Basu Chatterji's 'Choti Si Baath' and Billy Wilder's 'The Apartment'."
