Director Shankar shared an important update about 'Indian 2' on social media as the filming is progressing briskly in foreign locales. The Kamal Haasan starrer is heading strongly and the makers are planning to wrap up the talkie portions within June month.

Last week, the film's cast and crew including Kamal Haasan and Shankar moved to Taipei in Taiwan for a new schedule. The director took to social media today to update us that they are leaving Taipei after completing the filming. He shared a picture of himself on Twitter and wrote, "Bye Bye Taipei #indian2 P.C @dop_ravivarman" (sic).

Reports suggest that the team will be flying to Johannesburg in South Africa for the next leg of shooting, where they had planned to film an extravagant action sequence set in a train. Meanwhile, the makers are planning to launch the first single of Indian 2 very soon. Anirudh has composed the musical score for the magnum opus.

The ensemble cast of Indian 2 also includes Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Siddharth, Samuthirakani, Bobby Simha, Vivek, Nedumudi Venu, Yograj Singh, Gulshan Grover and many others. The film is jointly produced by Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies. The producers are aiming for a grand Diwali release in 2023.
