Shankar's next Pan India biggie with Tollywood star Ram Charan Teja was launched with a Poooja last month in Hyderabad. Acclaimed director Rajamouli, Bollywood star Ranveer Singh and actor & Ram Charan's father Chiranjeevi graced the event.

The film began with Megastar Chiranjeevi doing the first clap for the film. The team also released a special poster featuring the cast for a grand reveal. The latest buzz about this film is that Malayalam actor and MP Suresh Gopi who played the baddie in Shankar's 'I' is said to be playing the villain in this film.

Though an official statement from Shankar and his team is yet to arrive, several media have confirmed the buzz to be true. Apart from Ram Charan and Kiara Advani, the film also has Jayaram, Anjali, Dil Raju, Sunil, and Naveen Chandra in important roles.

Produced by Dil Raju and Shirish under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations, the film will be released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. Interestingly, this is the first time Shankar will be directing a Telugu hero. On the professional front, Ram Charan will be next seen in RRR. The film directed by SS Rajamouli is one of the big-budget films in the career of Ram Charan.
