Breaking! Shankar meets Rajinikanth – Is a massive sequel taking flight?

The Superstar Rajinikanth and granduer director Shankar combo has delivered three massive blockbuster films ‘Sivaji The Boss’, ‘Enthiran’ and ‘2.0’.  It is the wish of every Thalaivar fan to see them reunite for another mass entertainer.

Earlier today Shankar met Rajinikanth and shared a photo on Twitter writing “Elated to have met our Sivaji the Boss Rajinikanth sir himself on this very memorable day marking 15 years of Sivaji Your Energy, Affection and Positive Aura made my day!”

Already the general mood on social media is the possibility of ‘Sivaji 2’ happening and this sudden meeting may sow the seeds for the same.  ‘Sivaji’ produced by AVM Productions and released by Sun Pictures had Rajinikanth, Shriya Saran, Suman and Vivek in the lead roles.  It was released on June 15th 2007.

Shankar is currently directing ‘RC15’ starring Ram Charan Teja and Kiara Advani in the lead roles.  Later this year he will resume work on Kamal Haasan’s ‘Indian 2’ produced by Lyca Productions.

Rajinikanth meanwhile will begin shooting for ‘Thalaivar 169’ produced by Sun Pictures and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar from August this year.  Later he is reportedly eyeing projects with directors Desing Periyasamy, Arunraja Kamaraj, K.S. Ravikumar and Lokesh Kanagaraj.   We may add a Rajini-Shankar project too to the list considering their close bonding and past records.
