We all know that director Shankar is simultaneously helming the Kamal Haasan starrer 'Indian 2' and Ram Charan starrer 'Game Changer' now. At present, the ace filmmaker is in South Africa along with Kamal Haasan and their team to shoot a grand train action scene for Indian 2.

If reports are to be believed, the latest buzz is that Indian 2 won't be released on Diwali 2023. The film's release has been pushed to a later date. A source close to the movie team said, "There was a talk about Diwali release, but the team won’t be ready with the project by then. Shankar will wrap up Indian 2 by this summer but the film is a heavy on postproduction project and hence, the Diwali date is unlikely."

At the moment, Indian 2 is targeting a Pongal 2024 release. Meanwhile, the source adds, "He (Shankar) is also shooting for Game Changer, which will be wrapped up by August." Game Changer is expected to be a big release in the Summer of 2024. The South Africa schedule of Indian 2 will go on for 25 days. After completing by the end of this month, Shankar is expected to move to a new schedule of Game Changer.
