Director Shankar is busy giving final touches to his Sivaji. The magnum opus film is expected to hit the screens on Tamil New Year's Day.

Produced by AVM in their diamond jubilee year, Sivaji brings together biggies like Shankar, Rajinikanth, AR Rahman, among others.

Shankar, who is also a successful producer, will commence his next production venture once Sivaji is released.

His production house, S Films, has managed to render back-to-back hits in Kadhal, Imsai Arasan 23am Pulikesi and Veyyil.

Now Shankar is all set to commence his next movie this April. The movie would be directed by his associate Balaji Sakthivel, who wielded the megaphone for Kadhal.

Both Shankar and Balaji Sakthivel are tight-lipped about the cast and crew. Balaji Sakthivel is confident of continuing the success streak of Kadhal in his next venture too.
