It is being reported since last week that Superstar Rajinikanth has resumed shooting for his upcoming mega budget sci-fi flick '2.0' directed by Shankar. The much loved star had taken a long break from shooting due for a medical treatment.

Now the fact that Superstar Rajinikanth has started shooting for the film has been confirmed by none other than Shankar. The master director has updated a photograph from the shooting spot in his official Twitter page.

With the tweet he has hinted something with numbers "2.0 2/3 150". With this hint we could infer that the '2.0' team has so far finished 150 days of shoot which means two third or more than 65% of the shoot has been completed.

'2.0' is the much expected sequel to the 2010 blockbuster 'Enthiran'. The film is being produced by Lyca Productions on an estimated budget of Rs.350 crores.

Bollywood star Akshay Kumar is making his Kollywood debut playing the main villain in the film. Amy Jackson is the female lead. Musical score is by A.R.Rahman, Nirav Shah is handling the camera while Anthony is taking care of editing for hit mammoth project which is scheduled to hit the screens in October 2017.

The makers have confirmed that the First look poster will be released in November 2016.
