Director Shankar has completed 25 years of entertaining Tamil and pan Indian audiences delivering films that projected never before seen granduer making him a one of a kind filmmaker. Shankar's assistant directors have come together to celebrate their guru in an event that was highly emotional to all present.
Shankar has shared "Overwhelmed by the affection showed by my assistants. Without you all my journey wouldn’t be possible.". Those present included Balaji Shakthivel, Vasantha Balan, Atlee, Arivazhagan and Madhesh among others.
Shankar's debut film 'Gentleman' starring Arjun and Madhubala released on July 30th 1993 and has followed it up with blockbuster hits 'Indian', 'Jeans', 'Mudhalvan', 'Anniyan', 'Sivaji', 'Enthiran' , 'Nanban' and 'I' among others. He has helmed one Hindi film 'Nayak' and has produced several superhits including 'Kadhal' and 'Imsai Arasan 23 Aam Pulikesi'.
Shankar's upcoming film is Superstar Rajinikanth's '2.0' releasing on November 29th this year and he will soon start shooting Kamal Haasan's 'Indian 2'. We congratulate the master showman Shankar on reaching this milestone moment in his career.
