Director Shakthi Soundar Rajan is one of the promising young filmmakers in Kollywood. He has been exploring new genres with each of his films and delivered success with his last two films.

After the success of 'Miruthan' which is India's first 'Zombie' film, the director has teamed up with its hero Jayam Ravi' for a new film titled as 'Tik Tik Tik'. This film will be the first Indian Space Film which will be produced on a grand scale by Hitesh Jhabak of Jabak Movies banner.

In this exclusive interview to IndiaGlitz, the ambitious director has divulged some interesting details about 'Tik Tik Tik' for the first time.,.

About 'Tik Tik'

"This will be the first Indian film related to space. It is too early to speak about the subject. We take the effort because we want to ensure big screen experience to viewers. Nowhere such story has come. Regular space films will be too dry for our audience. We have got a subject which will work for our audience at the same time be a full-fledged genre oriented. It will be suitable for all sections of audience.

About the casting

Jayam Ravi sir is a complete actor, He can mould into any character. He was the first choice for this script. I can not speak about other cast members at this nascent stage.

About choosing new genres

Its not for the pride of doing something for the first time. I want to make films that will inspire people to come and watch in big screen. Before Nanayam there were a lot of films about Bank robbery. But I think that was the first film that completely dealt with bank roberry. I try to make my films a must watch on big screen. Thats why I pick up such genres.

When he film will release

We are at very nascent stage the release only next year. We have finished scripting. We will start shooting in October. We will start promotional activities. only next year

Budget

The subject requires huge subject. It requires a lot of CG works. The producer is very particular on not compromising the scale of the subject.

About 'Miruthan 2'

'Miruthan 2' is certainly happening. All the three people involved- me, Jayam Ravi and producer Michael Rayappan are ready to do the film. It is just about when we are going to start it.
