- IndiaGlitz, [Saturday,November 25 2023]
Seenu Ramasamy is a renowned director in Tamil cinema. Idam Porul Yeval is one of the long-delayed films made by the acclaimed maker. It stars Vijay Sethupathi, Vishnu Vishal, Aishwarya Rajesh and Nandita Sweta in the lead roles. But actress Manisha Yadav was a part of the cast initially and she opted out later.
Recently, Manisha Yadav posted a statement after rumours on social media sparked that she is going to work with director Seenu Ramasamy again. She wrote, WHAT SORT OF SEENU RAMASAMY MOVIE AM I ACTING IN ?? I'M HEARING IT FOR THE FIRST TIME. JUST BECAUSE I THANKED HIM (BECAUSE HE WAS PRESENT ON THE STAGE OF THE AUDIO LAUNCH FUNCTION OF OKK), JUST LIKE I DID TO EVERYBODY ON THE STAGE,DOESN'T CHANGE ANYTHING. I STICK BY EVERY WORD I SAID 9 YEARS AGO. AND WHY DO I NEED TO WORK WITH SOMEBODY WHO HAD BEEN SO DISRESPECTFUL TO ME ONCE. SIR SEENURAMSAMY PLS GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT! (sic)
Now, the senior filmmaker has put out an official statement from his side as a response. It is going viral now. Here is a rough translation of his statement:
Some questions flash back
..........................
1) Idam Porul Yeval
First day of shooting
Why did Manisha take 28 takes in the first shot?
2) On the shooting spot
Why did she get pissed off and used harsh words against the senior actress Vadivukkarasi who came to help?
3) When Annamalai Films Ganesh and I asked her to act as Vishnu Vishal's pair, why did she refuse?
4) Why did she get one lakh as compensation from my salary?
5) Manisha was staying with her mother for three days in a hotel provided by Tirupathi Brothers. I met them for the last time while shooting one morning.
6) I am waiting for the making video in which she took 28 takes. God bless. However, I was happy to work with you again. (sic)
