Big-ticket films are increasingly coming under the pressure of leaks. Rajinikanth's 'Petta' is the latest victim months after the teaser for '2.0' was outed mischievously. A Tamil-language TV channel has reportedly aired some leaked stills of 'Petta', causing a heartburn to the makers.
Director Karthik Subbaraj has appealed to the media not to publish leaked stills, saying that it's unethical to do so. "Kind request from Petta team.. Please do not share leaked stills or videos from shooting spot. Need all your support. Shocked to see channels like Thanthi TV are publishing leaked video as news. Guess next they would even telecast pirated movies as news. Completely unethical," the filmmaker said.
'Petta' (its Telugu title is not yet finalized) is produced by Sun Pictures. It has music by Anirudh. Trisha and Simran play the love interests of Rajinikanth while the ensemble cast includes Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Bobby Simha, Sasikumar, Megha Akash and Vijay Sethupati.
