Director Sachy's eyes donated; funeral to be held today

Mollywood's well-esteemed filmmaker Sachy, who is also a practicing lawyer in the Kerala High Court, passed away due to a heart attack on Thursday night. The last rites will be held at his residence in the evening. Before his last journey, the filmmaker donated his eyes to the hospital.
The 48-year-old was recovering from a hip surgery when he suffered a cardiac arrest on Tuesday. He was admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of a leading hospital in Thrissur and was on ventilator support. Sachy passed away at the young age of 48.
Sachy's brief film career began in 2007, and has scripted for nearly 12 films and directed two films. He made his directorial debut with the movie Anarkali. His second directorial was the latest release Ayyappanum Koshiyum. Sachy had also practiced in the high court for nearly eight years.
