Sachy's choice of heroes for his 'Ayyappanum Koshiyum' Tamil remake

Director Sachy passed away last night due to a cardiac arrest arising from a hip replacement surgery he underwent a few days back. The 48 year old's untimely death has not only shocked the Malayalam film industry but also the Indian film fraternity who have been impressed by works.

Sachy was critically acclaimed for his final film 'Ayyappanum Koshiyum' and there is great competition from producers to acquire its remake rights. Producer Five Star Kathiresan has bought the Tamil remake rights and is said to be planning to make the film with Sasikumar and another hero.

It has been revealed that in one of his last interviews director Sachy had shared that he would prefer to have Karthi in the role of Prithviraj and Parthiban replacing Biju Menon in the Tamil version. We have to wait and see if this wish of the departed director materialises.
