The 107th movie of Nandamuri Balakrishna went on the floors recently. It has been shot in Sircilla, Telangana.
The news is that director Gopichand Malineni has cast the 'Akhanda' actor in a dual role. Balayya will be seen both as a father and a son. There is more to the story than the sentimental aspect. A canal is at the centre of the plot. It seems there will be elements of a power-packed vigilante drama in the action entertainer, which has been made as a commercial potboiler.
In recent times, we have seen another film which had water at its centre. It's Sai Dharam Tej's 'Republic', where Panja Abhiram, the IAS protagonist, has to save a canal from being contaminated by the villain (played by Ramya Krishna).
Coming to NBK107, it is produced by Mythri Movie Makers and is yet to lock its title. Starring Shruti Haasan as the heroine, the film has Duniya Vijay as the villain. Its release date is going to be finalized in a couple of months.
