Unlike the first wave of COVID 19 which infected only a few persons in a building or area the second wave seems to affect a shockingly higher percentage. Popular Tami director Rathnakumar has shared that 14 members of his family including his 83-year-old grandmother and 15-month-old baby tested positive and suffered for twenty days which totally stressed him out.
The young generation filmmaker has also revealed that his father, grandmother, mother-in-law and sister-in-law had to be admitted to the hospital due to severe symptoms but luckily recovered.
Rathnakumar a close friend of Lokesh Kanagaraj made his debut in the movie ‘Meyadha Maan’ produced by Karthik Subbaraj which marked the debut of Priya Bhavani Shankar as the heroine. He later made the critically acclaimed ‘Aadai’ that starred Amala Paul in a bold role going dressless for the majority of the screen time.
Rathnakuamr who has narrated a ;script to Dhanush and is awaiting his green signal also worked as a writer and co-director of ‘Master’ starring Thalapathy Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi.
