Popular Bollywood and Tollywood director Ram Gopal Varma, known for his movies like Satya, Company, Rakht Charitra is currently in police custody, and this has come as a shocking news for his fans. Recently, the Lok Sabha elections for Andhra Pradesh had been held, and after this RGV had made a plan.

Ram Gopal Varma had planned to release his controversial movie Lakshmi's NTR, which was the biopic of NTR from the perspective of his second wife Lakshmi Parvathi, and the movie was already released everywhere except Andhra, where he planned to release on May 1.

A pressmeet for the release was arranged yesterday and even as RGV started his travel from Hyderabad to Vijayawada he was stopped before entering Vijayawada, and Andhra Pradesh police have taken him into custody and have ordered him to leave to Hyderabad. Following this an angry RGV said "There's no democracy in Andhra, and for the crime that I wanted to tell truth, I have been placed in police custody. As my social media pages are blocked, I am not able to contact anyone".
