Director Nelson created an all-time record with Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Jailer' which became one of the highest grossers in Tamil cinema. As per the reports, he has been working on a sequel to the 2023 film ever since its gargantuan success. Actress Mirnaa, who acted in 'Jailer', confirmed the development of 'Jailer 2' in an interview.

Exciting news has emerged that Nelson has cracked a strong idea for the story of 'Jailer 2'. He has completed the first draft of the script which was approved by Superstar Rajinikanth and Sun Pictures. Sources tell us that 'Jailer 2' is likely to be titled 'Hukum', which was Thalaivar's stylish catchphrase in the first part. This news is now rocking the social media.

We have learnt that the pre-production work for 'Jailer 2' commences on June 2024. The film is expected to go on the floors by the end of 2024 or early 2025 based on the filming time of Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Thalaivar 171' with Lokesh Kanagaraj. Anirudh Ravichander will be composing music for both 'Thalaivar 171' and 'Jailer 2: Hukum'.
