Director N. Linguswamy who has created a name for himself as one of the frontline commercial directors of Kollywood had also produced and distributed meaningful films such as 'Vazhakku Yen 18/9', 'Sathuranga Vettai', 'Kumki' and others.  However the resounding flop of 'Uttama Villain' put the Thirupathi Brothers banner in dire straits which put them out of circulation for a few years.

The good news is that in the new year 2018, Thirupathi Brothers are going to make a grand comeback and that too with four new projects which has been confirmed by director Seenu Ramaswamy who has been signed on to as one of the directors. He has also revealed that the long pending 'Idam Porul Yaeval' starring Vijay Sethupathi and Vishnu Vishal from the banner will also see the light of the day very soon. The official announcement on this great news is expected to come at the Natchathira Vizha or Pongal.
