Yesterday, as soon as it was confirmed that Sri Divya will be the pair of Vishal in the yet to be commenced film 'Marudhu', a Twitter account emerged under the name of the film's director Muthiah claiming that "Sri Divya is not the heroine of Marudhu. My favourite heroine Lakshmi Menon will be the heroine of my third film also. "

But Muthiah has now clarified that this was not his Twitter account and he does not have a presence in Facebook and Twitter.

In a Press statement issued as a caution note against fraudsters trying to misuse his name, the 'Kutti Puli' and 'Komban' director said, "I learn that there are people trying to woo aspiring actors and technicians using my name through fake social media profiles. So I request everyone to not believe any information coming with my name, without personally meeting me. I shall not be held responsible if anyone is cheated in this manner."
