Udhayanidhi Stalin's next release will be 'Podhuvaga Emmanasu Thangam' and he has also completed shooting for 'Ippadai Vellium'. Now the actor is shooting in Kutralam for the Tamil remake of critically acclaimed super hit Malayalam film 'Maheshinte Pratikaram'. In this remake directed by Priyadarshan, Udhay is playing the lead role played by Fahad Faasil in the original.

The star cast of the film includes Namitha Pramod, Parvathy Nair, Samuthirakani and M.S.Bhaskar. Now the latest to join the cast is veteran director J.Mahendran.

The highly acclaimed director proved that he is a fantastic actor too, with his performance as a cunning politician villain in last year's Vijay starrer blockbuster 'Theri'. Now he will be acting as hero's father in this remake flick.

The scenes involving Mahendran and Udhay are currently being shot in Kutralam according to information we gather from sources.

The yet to be titled film will have Darbuka Siva's music score and Ekambaram as cinematographer. Samuthirakani will be writing the dialogues for the film.
