Lokesh Kanagaraj and Gautham Menon are path-breaking filmmakers of Tamil cinema in their respective eras. Also, they have more in common which is being the ardent fanboys of Kamal Haasan. Both have expressed the same in many stages and both have directed Ulaganayagan once. Now, the fans are discussing who made the best fanboy film.
Gautham Menon made "Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu" in 2006 with Kamal Haasan and Jyothika while Lokesh Kanagaraj delivered the industry hit "Vikram" in 2022 for his idol. While Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu had a re-release on June 23, a Twitter user posted, "Looks like GVM @menongautham has won the battle for Best Fan Boy Director for me. Sorry to say this Lokesh @Dir_Lokesh bro...." This tweet has caught the eyes of the makers now.
Reacting to the tweet, Lokesh Kanagaraj replied, "Doubt ey venam bro GVM sir is ð«¡" (sic). While Lokesh's reply started trending, Gautham Menon joined the conversation and wrote, "âWasâ Until you and âNayagan meendum varaanâ came. #Vikram I have to try and rise above that. Will be a good challenge @Dir_lokesh Aana Intha sandaiyila satta kizhiyaadhu... Only Love" (sic). Both have expressed their love and respect for each other, which is now winning hearts.
It is worth mentioning that Gautham Menon is playing a crucial role in Lokesh Kanagaraj's upcoming film 'Leo' starring Thalapathy Vijay. The duo's bromance is now rocking the internet. While Vikram is a stylish multistarrer about a former secret agent that goes against the drug cartel, Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu is an spectacular psycho thriller which is way ahead of its time. It is about a courageous and righteous cop hunting down a serial killer duo after the death of his colleague's family.
