The master combo - Thalapathy Vijay, director Lokesh Kanagaraj and Seven Screen Studio are teaming up for the super-hyped project 'Thalapathy 67'. The film was launched with a muhurat puja on December 5. However, the official announcement will be made only after the release of Varisu.

Now, Lokesh Kanagaraj has spilled some exciting updates on Thalapathy 67 in a recent interview. Gautham Menon, who was also a part of the interaction, confirmed that he is playing a pivotal role in Lokesh's next movie. Lokesh said, "My next film will not be a 50-50 project. It's going to be 100% in my style. I took the time to write this film."

The filmmaker also added, "I find it very interesting collaborating with others. Currently, I'm associating with Deeraj Vaidy (Jil Jung Juk director) in my next project. He and Rathna Kumar will be taking care of the dialogues." He also revealed that his associate director Vishnu Edavan will be writing two songs in Thalapathy 67. It is worth mentioning that he has already written songs in 'Master' and 'Vikram'.

In the past few days, it was officially confirmed that Mansoor Ali Khan and Gautham Menon are acting in Thalapathy 67. We already reported the involvement of these actors in the upcoming movie. Thalapathy 67 will also feature Trisha, Sanjay Dutt and Nivin Pauly in the lead roles. Anirudh will be scoring the music for the film and the regular shooting will commence in January 2023.
