Kollywood director-cinematographer KV Anand passed away on Friday in Chennai following a heart attack. He was 54. The news of his demise left his fans and members of the industry in shock. Several celebs and netizens are tweeting in condolence after the news broke.
KV Anand started his career as a photojournalist and later became a cinematographer in the early 90s. Anand won the National Film Award for Best Cinematography for his debut film as a cinematographer, Thenmavin Kombath. Anand has worked with director Shankar for three hit films – “Mudhalvan,” “Boys” and “Sivaji.”
He turned to film direction with the critically acclaimed movie 'Kanaa Kandaen' released in 2005. He has directed several superhits in Tamil such as 'Ko', 'Ayan' and 'Kavan', 'Maattrraan', 'Anegan' and 'Kaappaan' among many others.
