'Jigarthanda' is a classic gangster action film in Tamil cinema helmed by Karthik Subbaraj in 2014. Today (August 1) marks the 8th year release anniversary of Jigarthanda. Karthik Subbaraj unveiled a special tribute video to the cult film in which he announced its sequel.

In the video, it was stated, "It has been 8 years of Jigarthanda. Now, its time for... Jigarthanda 2. Penning up." (sic). It seems that Karthik Subbaraj is currently working on the script of the Jigarthanda sequel. Also, the hot buzz is that Raghava Lawrence is likely to join the franchise for a major role in the next part. Stay tuned for more updates.
