Earlier this year, Karthik Subbaraj announced that his next project will be the sequel to 'Jigarthanda', his 8-year-old critically acclaimed film starring Siddharth and Bobby Simha in the lead roles. Meanwhile, it was already reported that Raghava Lawrence will play the lead role in Jigarthanda 2.

Now, we have hot updates about some interesting new additions to the renowned director's next. According to sources, Jigarthanda will go on the floors with a muhurat puja on December 11 (Sunday) in Madurai. SJ Suryah and Malayalam actress Nimisha Sajayan will be playing important roles in this highly anticipated movie.

Karthik Subbaraj will be the writer-director of Jigarthanda, produced by Kathiresan under the banner Five Star Creations. Reportedly, the makers are erecting a 70s/80s period set at Kodaikanal for the filming. However, there is no official word regarding the Jigarthanda 2 muhurat puja. Stay tuned for more updates.
