Rajini, Kamal, Dhanush, and other stars mourn the loss of K.V. Anand

The Tamil cinema industry and fans all over the world woke up to the shocking news that ace cinematographer turned director K.V. Anand passed away due to a massive heat attack.  The 54 year old who won the National Award for his very first film 'Thenmavin Kombathu' later on made his mark as one of the frontline commercial directors in South India.  His unique approach was to take up relevant issues that affect the society and sugar coat with entertaining elements and always his films delivered a new experience to audiences.

Superstar Rajinikanth in his condolence message on Twitter wrote in Tamil  "I am shocked and grieved to learn about the demise of the respected filmmaker K.V. Anand.  My deepest condolences to the bereaved family.    May his soul rest in peace".  

Kamal Haasan in his tribute wrote "K. V. Anand who started his career as a photojournalist through his sheer hard work gained prominence as a celebrated self-made cinematographer and director.  His demise is an irreplaceable loss to the cinema industry."

Dhanush who starred in K.V. Anand's 'Anegan' wrote "A gentle kind honest man has passed away. A very sweet man full of life love and joy. K.v anand sir .. gone too soon sir. Too soon. My condolences to his family. Rest in peace k.v sir.".

Prithviraj who made his debut in Tamil cinema under the direction of K.V. Anand in 'Kanaa Kandein' has paid rich tribute "Rest in peace K. V. Anand sir! You played a way more important role in my career than you will ever realise. Indian cinema will miss you forever! Folded hands Heartbroken! Broken heart"

Director Shankar for whom K.V. Anand shot 'Mudhalvan', 'Boys' and 'Sivaji' in his message said "Absolutely shocked. My heart feels so heavy... painful.Just can’t digest.I lost a very dear friend K.V a wonderful cinematographer, and a brilliant director. This loss can never be compensated. I will miss you my dear friend.My deepest condolences to his family and friends
