Jayadev Galla, the TDP MP and Mahesh Babu's relative, today quoted 'Bharat Ane Nenu' in the Parliament during the first No-Confidence Motion debate.  "A promise is a promise," Galla said, quoting Mahesh's character from the blockbuster.  He briefly mentioned the film's premise of how Bharat becomes the Chief Minister after his father's sudden demise.  You are not a man if you don't keep your promise, Galla suggested boldly.

The MP was clearly inspired by Koratala Siva's tweet weeks before the release of 'BAN' in April.  "Let’s all make @narendramodi ji a MAN by reminding his promise to Andhra Pradesh. Do you honestly feel that Telugu states are a part of India sir?" Koratala had tweeted out in March.  

The star director was the first celebrity to use BAN's punch dialogues in the context of demanding special status for Andhra Pradesh.
