Director Eeranki Sharma breathes his last

Eeeranki Sharma, the senior award-winning director, passed away on Friday.  Aged 93, he had been living in Chennai.  His last rites will be held today at around 2 pm.

A well-respected name in film circles, he did movies with Megastar Chiranjeevi ('Kukka Katuku Cheppu Debba'), Rajanikanth ('Chilakamma Cheppindi') and Kamal Haasan, among others.  

He knew late K Balachender as a contemporary.  'Naa Laaga Endaro', 'Sitadevi', 'Agnipushpam' and a number of films in Kannada are to his credit.  

IndiaGlitz condoles Sharma's death.  May he attain Sadgati.
