One of the popular directors of Tamil cinema Manobala has been known for directing several notable movies like Agaya Gangai, Pillai Nila, En Purushan thaan enakku Mattum thaan and the superstar Rajnikanth starrer Oor Kavalan to name a few.

Having last directed the Jayaram starrer Naina, Manobala has turned a full time actor and is known for playing comedy roles in many movies like Pithamagan, Polladhavan, Yaradi Nee Mohini, Bigil and will be acting in Kamal Haasan's Indian 2 next.
