Director Cheran has heaped praises on actor Vivek, who recently had a release Vellai Pookkal. Directed by debutant Vivek Elangovan, the thriller movie produced by Indus Creations, Trident Arts was released on April 19, alongside Kanchana 3, and is still running successfully.

With positive reviews from critics all over, celebrities like actor Madhavan, directors Sasikumar, Karthik Subbaraj and Cheran have been appreciating the movie and Vivek for his choice, and the actor had been thanking them all via Twitter. He had also thanked Cheran likewise, for his words on Vellai Pookal.

Following this, Cheran had tweeted that it is always possible to just read the tweets/ appreciation posts on the movie and move on, but the way you gave a response by respecting the view, is a great quality. Vellai Pookal, your acting, and the director's efforts were deserving praise, and it is because of the lack of appreciation and recognition that many of have gone missing, said Cheran.
