National Award winner director Cheran got injured when he stumbled and hurt his head while shooting for his upcoming film 'Anandham Vilayadum Veedu' in Dindigul.
It is reported that Cheran was taken to hospital as he suffered a serious injury on his head. The doctors had put eight stitches on his head. However, the film crew said that Cheran continued to perform his scenes without cancelling the shooting.
Anandham Vilayadum Veedu was directed by 'Maathi Yosi' and 'Oru Kalluriyin Kathai' -fame director Nandha Periyasamy. The film is touted to be a family drama and a house plays an important role in this film. The director had earlier said, "The film will be on the lines of Karthik sir's Varusham 16 and is based on a village carnival backdrop. Gautham plays Shakthi and the the story is based on how he brings a separated family together."
Shivathmika Rajashekar is roped in to play the lead opposite Gautham Karthick. Apart from this the film also has Saravanan, Motta Rajendran, Venba, Daniel Balaji, Kizhakku Cheemaiyile fame Vignesh, Singam Puli, Kumki Jommalloori, Lyricist Snegan, Namo Narayanan, Soundarajan, Mounicka, Maina, Paruthiveeran fame Sujatha, Priyanka, Nakkalite Dhanam and many others.
