Superstar Rajinikanth's pious and peaceful Poes Garden residence in Chennai often attracts guests and top celebrities from various walks of life including politics. Prime Minister Narendra Modi made it a point to pay a visit to Rajinikanth before he went to address a rally in Chennai during the run up for the General Elections of 2014.

Today, Rajinikanth had a surprise visitor. Veteran director Bharathiraja visited Poes Garden and met Rajinikanth at the latter's home. The duo who have worked together in '16 Vayathiniley' and 'Kodi Parakkudhu' would have spent some nostalgic moments together. during their conversation.

The purpose of the Iyakkunar Imayam's visit is unknown. But it is true that the septuagenarian director and the sexagenarian actor have met after many years gap.
