Director Bhadran recently to a magazine said that the best Mohanlal film he had done in his career is Spadikam`.The film became a hit because of the cooperation extended by the cast of the film. Another factor is a credible script which was the backbone of the film.

Above all this was the action scenes of the film which was fantastically done by Mohanlal. Stunt director had planned a usual pattern of block and punch style of cinema. But the director insisted it should be planned in movement oriented with running and chasing, jumping and kicking etc. The stunt director was not confident about it, but the director was confident and it was executed in such a manner throughout the film. “Only Mohanlal could do such stunt sequences in Indian Cinema,” added the director.
