An art is something, that depicts the reality into a structure sans any flaws or manipulation. The film, a mainstream medium of art, claims the top spot in over 200 years with its sensible outputs. Cinema has always been a prevalent entertainment for people and here we see about a realistic creator, who based in Periyakulam, a city in the down-south of Tamilnadu. He's none other than the most authentic director of our generation, Bala.

Started with 'Sethu', Bala had only directed a few films that we can count on with our fingers. Although, he's with a less number of films, he is one among the most revered directors of all times. Why is that so? 'Pithamagan' director neither exaggerated nor romanticised the plot, and thus his outputs are always recalled for its excellence in vernacular making and highly appreciable performances.

Whence he has been getting all the parts necessary for a film in the right proposition? Balu Mahendra, the classic gem of Indian cinema, was the mentor of Bala, and the latter keeps the name of his 'Guru' on top, in each and every shot. 'Sethu', 'Pithamagan', and 'Naan Kadavul' are some of his films that dealt entirely a new plot and witnessed the next side of reality.

While awards have surrendered themselves to Bala, he never gives a look about it. No awards nor recognition has spoiled his originality in content and the daring portrayal. There are also criticisms arise upon his explicit narration of violence, but fades out eventually through the justification of his subject.
