Bala attacks government on tobacco and alcohol drama

The Cancer Institute of Chennai, had organized a noble event "Quit Tobacco, Dine With Stars"in which director Bala, Aari, Harish Uttaman, Ravi Maria and others graced. Speaking at the even Bala stated that he was reluctant to attend because he is a chain smoker, but lauded the people who have quit calling them inspirations in his life.
Bala took the opportunity to attack the government`s insistence to put up statutory warning cards about smoking and drinking in movies claiming people are influenced. He said that it is foolish as it is the government who are selling liquor and cigarettes and using the people for its business and then putting up warnings does not help. He said that the best way to curb the bad habits is to stop the supply of the products.
