Actress Kaveri had made her debut in Tamil cinema with the movie Kannukul Nilavu, which was actor Vijay's 25th movie and was directed by Fazil. She had later acted in movies such as Appu directed by Vasanth and had gained popularity as Sarathkumar and Murali's sister in KS Ravikumar's Samuthiram.

Kaveri had also acted in Chiyaan Vikram starrer Kasi, Kannadi Pookal and was last seen in Tamil in the Vijay Sethupathi starrer Karuppan, where she was paired with Pasupathi. Kaveri, who has also acted in many Malayalam and Telugu movies is married to director Suryakiran.

Now, the actress is set to return to silver screens in a new avatar. Kaveri is making her debut as a director with a psychological thriller which will have Chethan Cheenu in lead role and Suhasini Maniratnam will be seen in a supporting role. This movie will be made in Tamil and Telugu.
