Director Atlee opens up about his plans to take Jawan to the Oscar race! - Deets

Director Atlee is now basking in the success of his latest film 'Jawan' starring Shah Rukh Khan. He retained his blockbuster streak with his debut Hindi film and Jawan is now making waves in the Bollywood industry. Atlee is likely to work with Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan or Allu Arjun for his next.

Meanwhile, Atlee talked about the Oscar chances of Jawan in a recent interview. He reportedly said, "Jawan should go for the Oscars, I am going to talk to Shah Rukh Khan sir about it. Of course, even Jawan should go, if everything falls in place. I think every effort, everybody, every director, every technician who is working in cinema, their eyes are on the Golden Globes, Oscars, National Awards, every award."

"So, definitely, yeah, I would also love to take Jawan to the Oscars. Let's see. I think Khan sir will watch and read this interview. I will also ask him over a call if we can take this movie to the Oscars," added the maverick filmmaker. This news is now spreading like a wildfire on the internet. At the business front, Jawan has officially grossed more than Rs 600 crore in 6 days at the box office.

Jawan produced by Red Chillies Entertainment stars SRK in dual roles, Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Priyamani, Deepika Padukone and others. The movie had music by Anirudh, cinematography by GK Vishnu and editing by Ruben. The action entertainer is now running successfully in cinemas.
